On 3 March 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), regarding the disappearance of three Syrian citizens in Latakia between August 2011 and August 2012 following their arrest by members of the Security Forces.

On 12 March 2015, a coalition of 21 humanitarian and human rights organisations, including Alkarama, said in a joint report that the parties to the Syrian conflict and United Nations Member States, in particular Members of the UN Security Council (UNSC), have been "Failing Syria". After assessing the impact of UNSC resolutions in protecting and assisting civilians in Syria, the coalition concluded that these resolutions have all been ignored or undermined, leading to the worst year of conflict so far.

21 humanitarian and human rights organisations say warring parties and powerful states have failed to implement UNSC resolutions leading to "worst year" of crisis for civilians in Syria.

On 27 February 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), regarding the disappearance of two brothers from Homs between March 2012 and May 2013. The two brothers have been missing since their respective arrests by members of the Political Security Directorate – one of the country's four main intelligence agencies.
