Other CountriesAlkarama sent his case as an urgent appeal on 25 May 2010 to the Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances, requesting its intervention with the Egyptian authorities in order that he be released.
On 26 April 2010, SSI agents, led by officer Sameh Heikel, performed a warrantless search on his home. They informed the families members present during the search that a summons had been issued in his name. He was therefore requested to immediately present him to the SSI headquarters in Banha.
Nasr Al-Sayed Hassan Nasr consulted his lawyer before presenting himself on 28 April 2010. The following day, his lawyer requested that the SSI inform him of Mr. Nasr's whereabouts and the reason for his arrest, but SSI agents denied his arrest and refused to comment.
His lawyer filed two complaints with the Prosecutor General, one on 28 April 2010 and the second on 15 May 2010 - however no results have yet come to light. He was later released without charge on 20 June 2010.

On 28 April 2010, Nasr Al-Sayed Hassan Nasr, 52, presented himself to the State Security Investigative (SSI) services in his home town of Banha and was immediately arrested. He was held incommunicado for nearly two months and tortured on several occasions before his release on 20 June 2010.
