On 28 July 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the case of Hassan Saeed, an activist from Homs who disappeared following his arrest by members of the army and the Military Intelligence in August 2012.

On 9 September 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the disappearance of 22-year-old, Khalid Ali Deeb and his 34-year-old cousin, Mohammad Ali Deeb, after their respective arrests at checkpoints in Latakia and Al Bayda in November 2011 and May 2013.

On 9 September 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the disappearance of 48-year-old married worker, Mohammad Bashar Ali Deeb, following his arrest by the Military Intelligence in November 2012.
Syria: Construction Worker Disappeared Since Arrest at Idlib Checkpoint in April 2012
On 8 September 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the case of 31-year-old Syrian construction worker, Ali Mostoo, who disappeared following his arrest, in April 2012, by forces of the Military Security Branch in Idlib, an intelligence agency under the control of the Ministry of Defence.
Syria: Enforced Disappearance of Syrian Kurd Following Confessions Under Torture Broadcasted on National TV in March 2013
On 8 September 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the disappearance of Anas Al Husseini, a Syrian Kurd arrested by the security forces in December 2012, tortured and forced to confess on television, after which he was transferred to an unknown detention centre.
Syria: Two Syrians Disappeared Since Abduction by Government Forces in the Hama Governorate in 2012
On 1 September 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced Disappearances (WGEID) regarding the cases of Abdul Rahman Al Jawalak and Ramez Al Deeb, who disappeared since their respective abductions from the Hama countryside by governmental forces between January and August 2012.
Syria: Syrian Centre for Media and Freedom of Expression's Director Mazen Darwish Released
On 10 August 2015, Mazen Darwish, Director of the Syrian Centre for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM), was freed from State Security Branch No. 285, after three years spent behind bars, following numerous calls by various UN instances, Alkarama and numerous other organisations. He is joining his two colleagues Hussein Gharir and Hani Al Zitani, who were released in late July.
Syria: Human Rights Defenders Hussein Gharir and Hani Al Zitani Set Free While Mazen Darwish Remains Detained
On 17 and 18 July 2015, members of the Syrian Centre for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) Hussein Gharir and Hani Al Zitani were freed from Hama Prison, after three years spent behind bars, following numerous calls by Alkarama and numerous other organisations, as well as various UN instances. SCM's Director, the prominent journalist Mazen Darwish, remains however detained.
Syria: Worker from Al Lataminah Disappears at the Masnaa Border
On 25 June 2015, Alkarama and Human Rights Guardians sent a communication to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), concerning the case of Ahmed Al Zaidan, a 28-year-old Syrian married worker from Al Lataminah, a village in northern Syria, disappeared since his arrest by the Syrian Military Security in September 2012.
Joint Statement: UN Security Council Should Take Immediate Action against Brutality in Syria
We are a coalition of human rights and humanitarian organizations working to protect and assist the civilians of Syria. We wish to express our collective outrage at the never ending state of unchecked brutality in Syria and call on the UN Security Council to take immediate action. Given continuing indiscriminate attacks against civilians within Syria, we urge each member of the Security Council to now take steps to implement further diplomatic measures given clear and ongoing non-compliance with Resolution 2139, specifically measures to establish a mechanism to track and publically expose indiscriminate attacks by any means against civilians, including barrel bombs or car bombs, and to lay down clear consequences for violators.
