Alkarama is currently seeking two interns to work full-time as part of the Legal Department, from 2 January until 30 June 2017. One intern will assist the work of our desk officer covering the Maghreb region and the other intern will assist the work of both our desk officers for the Gulf and Mashreq regions.
You can find below the current vacancies at Alkarama, as well as the profiles we look for in our interns, volunteers and "civil service" candidates (these positions are open year-round). If you are based in the Arab world, you can also volunteer to become a member of Alkarama and contribute information about individual cases of human rights violations or work with us on various projects in your country.
Alkarama regularly recruits new volunteers who seek to obtain work experience in a multi-cultural human rights non-governmental organisation (NGO) working in cooperation with the United Nations on human rights in the Arab world.
Volunteers have a flexible arrangement with Alkarama to contribute to the work of the organisation, typically for a few hours a week. This contribution to Alkarama's work can come in many forms – translations, data entry, working with original documentation, event organisations etc. Volunteers are welcome to come and work in the office or can work from home, depending on the agreement reached.
